The Harley Owners Group (HOG) is all about community, camaraderie, and the thrill of the open road. At Morgan & Wacker Harley-Davidson Melbourne, we’re proud to partner with the local HOG Chapter to bring riders together through our Open Rides. These rides are designed to welcome new HOG members into the fold, introduce them to the riding community, and help them feel at home on two wheels. But here’s the best part – these rides aren’t just for new HOG members. Anyone who loves to ride is welcome to join!
Why Join an Open Ride?
Not sure about group riding? Want to hang back and get a feel for who we are? Ready to dive in headfirst and experience it all? Either way, join us for an Open Ride at Morgan & Wacker Harley-Davidson Melbourne!
Open Rides are designed to give you first-hand experience of what the HOG community is all about and how group riding works in a relaxed and controlled environment. Come along to meet other members, connect with Chapter Officers and store staff, learn about group ride guidelines, and enjoy a guided ride to see it all in action.
What to Expect
Each ride begins at Morgan & Wacker Harley-Davidson Melbourne with a briefing and introduction. It’s the perfect chance to meet fellow riders and chat with our team before hitting the road. The rides are beginner-friendly and designed for riders of all levels. Each ride is led by experienced HOG Chapter members who ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. The route varies each time but is typically a 1.5-hour local loop ride that returns to the dealership.
Ride Schedule:
- 9:00 AM – New Members & Visitors: Meet Chapter Officers (usually the Head Road Captain & Membership Officer) for an introduction to the Chapter and an overview of group riding.
- 9:45 AM – All Riders: The Lead Road Captain provides details on the ride route.
- 10:00 AM – Stands Up & Ride Departs
- After the Ride – BBQ at the dealership on selected ride days! On certain Open Ride days, you’ll have the chance to enjoy a delicious BBQ and great company while taking advantage of exclusive in-store specials. Keep an eye on our announcements for upcoming BBQ dates!

22 February - HOG Social ride and BBQ – Departing Morgan & Wacker Harley-Davidson Melbourne
Join us for a short social ride starting from Morgan & Wacker, 370 Cooper St, Epping. Meet at 9:30 AM, with stands-up at 10:00 AM. This is a great chance for new members to join and learn how we conduct our group rides. Don't miss out!
Location: From Morgan & Wacker H-D Melbourne along a scenic route and back to the dealership for a great BBQ!
